How to Program Your Baofeng UV-5R with CHIRP (Step-by-Step)

Out of the box, your UV-5R already works — a fresh set is pre-loaded with matching channels so your group can talk immediately. But if you want custom channels, local repeaters, or just want your channels labeled something more useful than a frequency number, you'll want to program it yourself.
